Oh the joys of Christmas!

I have decided that since I have created a blog for myself I should post something every now and then...but I'm staring at a blank screen wondering what to write. Everything that comes to my mind seems a good topic at first until I change my mind again.
For now, this is an unofficial blog...post.
Why do people celebrate Christmas?? Why do people go shopping, spend lots of money on other people, and make and eat lots of goodies? Some people don't even celebrate Christmas as they don't believe in the true meaning of it or it is too "commercialized." For me, it is celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. He died so that I could live! How awesome is that?? Every year I anticipate the wonders of the Christmas season. At times I find it a heartbreaking season~~to see so many people miss the ultimate reason for it and instead, turn it into a selfish holiday. This is most obvious on the over-popular Black Friday~~the day that people will spend hours in lines to spend a lot of money on who-knows-what. I am one to talk...I did go shopping myself but more for the fun of it. I wasn't in the mood to wait in long lines to buy a few things. In the end, I had a jolly old time with wonderful friends. My goal this Christmas season is to remember the reason for celebration (Christ's birth) annd, get gifts on the side. =)
